The Missouri River has long been considered one of, if not the, best tail water fisheries in the U.S. The Missouri River is a place where unmatched scenery meets water that is home to some of the most prolific insect hatches in the west. The sheer number of fish, along with the incredible average size, make the Missouri River a destination fishery the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else.
In the heart of the Big Belt Mountains, tucked away in a breathtaking canyon, is the historic town of Wolf Creek, Montana. Wolf Creek is located about halfway between Great Falls and Helena, just up the road from Craig, Montana and minutes from the Missouri River. With two bar/restaurants, and the only gas station/convenience store between Helena and Cascade, Wolf Creek has everything you need in a classic small town Montana setting. Many who have discovered Wolf Creek return time and again to enjoy the peaceful solitude and laid back atmosphere.
Wolf Creek is just four kilometres (2.5 miles) from the Wolf Creek Bridge river access and 6.5 kilometres (4 miles) from Holter Dam. Through Wolf Creek Angler we offer both lodging and guiding services. Guiding services include some of the best driftboat and walk/wade guides in the area. Lodging includes your choice of four cabins, four motel-style rooms and three bungalow style rooms. These accommodations are just a short walk away from the two local bar/restaurants and when you need to resupply, Wolf Creek’s Canyon Store offers groceries, fuel and more.
